Relatively cheap. Close to boardwalk. Everything in walking distance
The comforters were very dirty looking with cigarette burns noted on them. Bathroom very small and the window didn't close all the way in the bathroom. The safe was broke and the staff said they were going to replace the motherboard the next day but they didn't
It was one block from the beach and cheap.
However, after unloading my stuff and reviewing the room, I canceled my reservations and moved to another hotel. It did not look near as nice as the internet photos and looked very run down. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
loved the whole staff very polite and nice loved to come back soon.
Close to beach
Room were dirty, rooms smelled of urine. I had to buy lysol and candles to help with the odor. I attempted to change hotels with the front desk, however no one was there and no one answered the phone.
It was close to the beach and fairly economical.
During my stay, my room was not cleaned well. I know my toliet was not cleaned for three days.
Couldn't understand anyone Room service was horrible Dirty room/mold in bathroom
room was not clean, pool was nasty, breakfast was pathetic(we went to restaurant).
It was across the street from the beach
The room was dirty, had a very bad odor, the Air conditioner did not work well, the "hot" water was warm at best, the front desk people did not even acknowlege us, the linens were not clean, and the room was in very bad repair. I would not recommend Travelodge to anyone!!!
Place requires complete renovation/upgrade of building and fixtures. Pool = a whole in the ground.
We showed up late (10 PM) and were greeted by a friendly staff member who checked us in easily and quickly. The location was excellent, as well as the price. The air conditioner, fridge, microwave, shower, toilet, sink, blow dryer, clock, and card key all worked fine. A few channels on the TV were fuzzy, but who really goes to the beach to watch TV? We had a comfortable bed to sleep on, working bathrooms items to get clean with, a good (free!) snack in the morning and no bugs or terribly dirty conditions to deal with. For $100 a night, while other hotels around are upwards of $200 (and don't always include breakfast) I was very pleased with my stay and very disappointed to see how different the reviews were from the actual visit. Sure, it could have been more modern and maybe more clean, but all we wanted was a place to stay. This Travelodge is perfectly fine if that's all you're looking for. If you have a family and extra money, a $100 hotel is obviously not the best choice. I had a really good experience, and it was made that much better by the fact that I could actually afford a trip to the beach this summer.
Nothing our room was dirty and the housekeeper didn't clean at all just put towls and take the trash...the carpet was extremely wet we had to walk with shoes there were cucarach and it smelled like pee .....
Nothing that is close to the beach that's all...
The staff at the hotel was horriable they were not friendly at all!! On our last afternoon there one of the concrete step broke off on my boyfriends foot when we were walking to our room on the 3rd floor I went and told the staff at the front desk and he acted as if he didn't care.... As the day went on his foot was really starting to hurt it was able 40lbs that fell on his foot. So we went back to the front desk and told the hotel he was going to the hospital what a big inconvence that was had to first find a hospital to drive to then on top of it had to go sit in the er with our 3yr for 2 hours on our last night there. Then to top it all off they closed the steps to fix them so he had to walk the whole ways down to the other set of steps to the other side of the parking lot to load our car up for our 6hr drive home. I just think they could have been a little more friendly and showed some concerin. He or someone eles could have been very hurt and for them not to care was very rude! And such and inconvinonce our 1st trip to Virgina Beach was not good.
full kitchen, beachside location, wonderful bedding
check out time is too early. check in time is too late.
Only that is near of the beach..
The convenience of being close to the beach
The room is not taken care of the toilet was wobbly, it smelled like urine, bed was soo uncomfortable
